A big day

Yesterday was a big day.

It was the state opening of parliament.

2012 is the ANC’s centenary year. It’s the year of elections (President Zuma, who did his own time at Robben Island for anti-apartheid activity has been in power since 2009),  and it’s a year in which the ANC has shown itself to be intolerent of intolerance, by ousting the outspoken Julius Malema.

But in a country with 25% unemployment will anything really change?

Meanwhile in other parts of the country…
